Are you looking for a portable project for those hours spent waiting in the doctor’s office, or going on a long car ride? Prepare this project at home, and keep it ready to travel. The weaving can be done anywhere. Adaptable to a variety of sizes and shapes of stones, this bezel works easily on very flat stones. Thicker stones may require more creative use of your excess 24-gauge wire to hold it tight. For a deeper stone, you can increase the distance between the base wires, making the weaving wider. Dead soft wire is best for the tidiest weaving. A finer gauge of weaving wire looks sleek, but takes more time. Practice with the 24-gauge wire, and then go wild. Please read through all the directions before starting, so you know where you’re going before your wire gets there.
* Please note, this tutorial lists to use 22 gauge wire for the weave, 24gauge is much easier to work with so please alter that instruction.
