This mineral, found in blades or columns, is typically blue, but may also be green. Although limited in its use as a gemstone due to its anisotropism or varying hardness, it is also used in porcelain plumbing fixtures, dishware, spark plugs and other things. Kyanite is most notably found in Australia, Brazil, India, Kenya, Myanmar, Russia, Serbia, Switzerland and the U.S.A.
