The society is open to all persons with rockhound or fossil "fever." The El Paso Mineral and Gem Society, Inc. Is a non-profit organization. The purpose of this society shall be to increase and disseminate knowledge about minerals and other geologic materials; to encourage mineral study, collecting and fashioning as a hobby; to conduct meeting, lectures, displays, field trips, and to sponsor shows for the general edification of the public.
The Houston Bead Society meets at 10:00 a.m. on the third Saturday of each month. Meetings are at Bayou Manor, 4141 S. Braeswood Blvd., Houston, Texas. Meetings usually include a workshop or inservice on different skills or techniques. Everyone is invited to participate!
