Sunstone is a feldspar crystal that was formed in molten lava. It may be gold to orange or reddish brown in color and has an iridescent luster, or schiller, similar to Labradorite. This gemstone is one of those versatile colors that work in jewelry designs from one season to the next. Sunstone contains small hematite crystals, giving it even more sparkle. Sunstone comes from Australia, Canada, India, Norway, Russia, Tanzania and the U.S.A. Sunstone may aid in garnering extra physical energy during stressful times, including illness. It is believed to be helpful to the kidneys and the liver. Some say it brings romance and good luck.
